My Story

Paul Kakis has been a proud Canyon Lake resident since 1997 and has spent nearly 30 years serving his community through volunteerism, civic engagement, and charitable work. Throughout the years, he has dedicated himself to bringing residents together and supporting programs that strengthen the community and improve the quality of life for local families.

As a longtime member of the Canyon Lake Car Club and the Elks Lodge, Paul believes that strong communities are built through service and involvement. For more than a decade, he has organized the largest annual single event for the City of Lake Elsinore and surrounding communities, the Lambs Fellowship Car and Bike Show, a popular community event that brings together families, enthusiasts, businesses, and organizations while raising funds to help children in need. He also served as the Board Chair for Help Us Help Kids, based in Lake Elsinore, from 2013–2024.

Paul's commitment extends beyond Canyon Lake. He has supported Lake Elsinore's Dream Extreme events and participated in efforts to revitalize Downtown Main Street, promoting local business growth, economic development, and community pride. Paul has experience working with local government, including the Downtown Merchants Association, the Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Lake Elsinore Downtown Revitalization Committee.

Professionally, Paul brings three decades of leadership experience in business and healthcare, with expertise in strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving. He manages a large fiscal budget and leads a sales organization focused on improving patient lives. These skills have prepared him to make thoughtful, informed decisions on behalf of residents.

Paul and his wife, Pamela, have built their life in Canyon Lake and cherish their growing family. His dedicated community service was officially recognized by the City of Lake Elsinore with proclamations in both 2018 and 2022. Committed to public safety, sound infrastructure, responsible growth, and transparent government, Paul is ready to serve Canyon Lake with integrity, experience, and dedication as a member of the City Council.

Get Involved

I’m running for Canyon Lake City Council to protect our small-town feel, keep our community safe, and make sure every tax dollar is spent wisely. I want a city government that listens, is transparent, and always puts Canyon Lake families first.
